And to any makeup artist ben nye costmetics is a god send from celebs to their makeup artist and to the unknown makeup artist like me. but who was ben nye? Born in 1907 he became one of hollywood only celeb makeup artist working on gone with the wind, and geltlemen prefer blondes and the fly as little unkown fact his brother carroll nye was an actor in gone with wind. After retireing in 1967 he created ben nye costmetics and left his son to the business he died in the 1980s leaving great makeup for celeb makeup artist everywhere
